Overview of the Laboratory
Genomic DNA forms highly organized three-dimensional structures within the cell. In the Microbial Genome Dynamics Laboratory, we investigate how genome-organization mechanisms are linked to cellular functions in Archaea, a group of microorganisms thought to represent the ancestors of eukaryotes. Through these studies, we aim to advance the evolutionary understanding of archaeal genomes and explore their potential industrial applications.
